The Color Moment… is a term I have always associated with San Miguel from the very first time I came there in the 1980’s for an assignment for Coca-Cola. And beginning in 2001, I have continually taught my workshop in this magical colonial town of cobblestone streets, quintessential architecture, cultural events, and of course, the people… friendly, curious and welcoming. The locales and venues we choose to investigate differ from year to year but have included local rodeos, Lucha Libres (Mexican wrestling), carnivals, traditional dance, Quinceñaras, as well as visits to nearby towns and villages. That said, some of the best moments I’ve captured were on the streets at various  times of the day. No particular destination… just walking, watching and waiting. It’s truly a color photography paradise and one I never tire of.
